St Bartholomew’s – Cross in Hand

St. Bartholomew, or St. Bart’s as it is known locally, was once called “The Church in the Woods” (prior to the great storm of 1987), being almost completely hidden under the trees.

It is a Chapel of Ease to All Saints, Waldron, having been built in 1863 to act as the parish church during the restoration and enlargement of All Saints. It is an archetypal Victorian Nave and Sanctuary building with a unique atmosphere.
