Care and Support in our Community
Linked Hands are an independent group supported by the Waldron Churches
Linked hands is a service for the elderly to provide:
- Meetings for social contact, activities and outings
- Home visits to the housebound & bereaved
- Help & advice in an emergency
- Car lifts for essential appointments (a contribution for petrol is greatly appreciated)
Linked Hands was formed in 2003 by the vicar of Waldron Churches and East Sussex County Council and has grown into a happy, thriving group with up to 50 members at a typical meeting.
There are no membership fees but members are asked to pay £1.00 per meeting to cover refreshments, which usually include delicious home made cakes.
Summer months are special when members often get out to visit local gardens, take coach trips to places of interest or perhaps go on a river trip. Costs are always very reasonable.
The programme of events is posted to members three times a year with full details supplied.
New members are always welcome and are invited to contact Marion→ Willing hands are also welcome so if you can help by serving refreshments, driving or just by chatting with members, please contact Marion→
