The project has taken a while to develop but we have now reached a point where, following a recent PCC meeting, we are “good to go”! We have the Faculty and we have acceptable tenders from contractors and are finalising a decision on which one to go with at this time.
As is always the case, the cost is significantly greater than originally anticipated due in no small measure to the cost of connecting to mains drainage. The vestry area is being re-irganised in order to accommodate the toilet. Whilst major support has been offered by Friends of Waldron Churches, we need to raise a good sum ourselves in order to see the project through.
Consequently, we have launched our public appeal “ Donate to Excavate” and we shall be delighted to receive any donations however modest as we seek to get to a targeted £20,000.
