All Saints – Waldron

Thought to be on the site of an even earlier church, All Saints, a “jewel” amongst Sussex’s churches, was built during the 12th century, the first Rector being Bartholomew in 1195.

It is nestled amongst ancient yews in its conservation-grade graveyard, on a high ridge, with stunning views. The interior, though much restored in the 1860s, is kept open daily, in beautiful condition, for the community, visitors and worshippers. We have a long-standing tradition for choral inclusion to our services, with disciplined choir, led by dedicated organists.

The Quinquennial Inspection Report - All Saints

Every five years each of our churches is required to be inspected by an approved architect and the PCC recently appointed Fred Courtney Bennett to carry out this Quinquennial Inspection for All Saints. It highlights areas where action is required to preserve the fabric of the church, some need attention quite soon whereas others can be undertaken over the five year time span. We shall be liaising with Fred as to a programme of action and, no doubt, we shall be referring back to this subject as we shall, no doubt, require the support of many to ensure everything can be dealt with.
